Daily Reading on the Financial Markets: 2/13/13

Matt Lynn at Marketwatch wonders if digital currencies from places like Amazon could imperil the Fed’s monopoly on currency for American consumers.

EconMatters rails against the fact that many commodity prices (Brent Crude, as the example here) have gone from “supply-demand driven, to funds flow driven” pricing.  It “sucks for consumers.”

Chris Kimble notes that the major US indexes are pushing on resistance, seeking a breakout.
