Daily Reading on the Financial Markets: 1/26/12

I’m sorry for having fallen off the face of the Earth for the last week or so.  My father passed away late last week and I wasn’t following the markets very closely.  That said, I note now that the U.S. indexes of SPY and QQQ are up against resistance.  The Bulls seem ready to run… let’s see if they can push through here.

Ace technical analyst Chris Kimble wonders if the US Dollar is forming a Head and Shoulders pattern, which would certainly buoy the Bull case.

Cam Hui at Humble Student of the Markets appears to be finding his way to the Bull side, asserting “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.”

Tony Pallotta at Macrostory remains unconvinced.

Walter Kurtz at Sober Looks compares Risk Indices, and finds that the relative weighting of US equities vs. commodities makes a big difference.
