Jim Quinn at The Burning Platform puts forth the whole big picture Bear case, from excess debt and necessary deleveraging, to civic decay, and corporate profits at the expense of worker income.

Despite those Bearish concern, AAII at Seeking Alpha reports that individual investor confidence remains unusually Bullish.

At PragCap, Cullen Roche notes that railroad activity, a good harbinger of recessionary times in past cycles, plummeted 9% to start the year after holding strong through the final quarter of 2011.
